What is UndoClose ?
UndoClose brings the convenient browser functionality to the Windows operating system in quite an elegant fashion; you can now restore closed folders and applications by just pressing a hotkey rather than having to look them up in the Start Menu.
How does it do it ? UndoClose constantly monitors in the background any application or folder that is closed. It displays them in its interface, divided comprehensively into Recently Closed Folders / Apps and re-opening them is triggered by either hotkey or clicking on list entry.
By default the hotkeys are as follows: Control + Shift + F for the last closed folder and Control + Shift + A for the last closed application. Note that you can change them to whatever you see fit.
UndoClose may run on system startup and will linger into the system tray unobtrusively. It is compatible with Windows 7 for both 32 and 64 bit versions.
The application requires no installation; simply extract the contents of the archive to a destination of your choosing and run the executable. System resources taken by UndoClose are dependent of the number of folders and applications you are closing. The utility itself only takes 100 KB of disk space.
