MAC (Media Access Control) addresses are usually provided and automatically assigned by the manufacturer of a network interface card (NIC) and are stored in its hardware, the card's read-only memory, or some other firmware mechanism. Note that MAC addresses are unique identifiers.
Trogon MAC Scanner is a powerful, effective utility designed to scan and detect changes in your network devices. With this tool you will always know if new devices have been connected. It automatically stores the results in the database, compares them and displays the changes if there are any.
Here is how it works: run the application and input a range of IP addresses. Press Start and Trogon MAC Scanner will be quick to display all existing devices part of the network. Information is comprehensively divided in columns to show the IP address, MAC address, host name, workgroup, manufacturer, compare result. You can edit each entry and export one or more into a choice of format including Txt, Xml, Csv. Perform a new search at a different time and Trogon MAC Scanner will check for discrepancies.
Trogon MAC Scanner includes a choice of multiple themes and can scan using up to 100 threads.
Users can download and use Trogon MAC Scanner for a limited period of 20 days under a demo license with import and export features restricted. The application is compatible with Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7 or Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2008.
