If you need to read, search and filter text files with a lot of ease and in a truly convenient manner, you should give this software a try. MuseTips Text Filter is a simple and handy Search-As-You-Type text reader and filter software.
Text Filter represents a free, simple, lightweight and portable Windows application that allows you to easily read, search and filter text files.
Text Filter is really handy and fast, filtering the text lines instantly, as you type your search phrase, while all the matched terms are conveniently highlighted in a contrasting color.
Auto suggestions for the search phrases are also a handy feature provided by this nice tool. While you type into the search box, Text Filter will list the searched phrases for you to choose from. This makes text searching a especially easier and faster task.
Regular expression are nowadays a must for many text managing needs. Text Filter lets you perform regex searching by checking the Regex Query in Search menu. Keep in mind though that for large text files, regex query can be quite slow. If this happens, you can easily uncheck the Search As You Type option in Search menu.
Multiple Query modes are also supported. With the help of the really effective Text Filter application, besides regex query, you can also quickly perform Naive Query and Smart Query. The Naive Query is a handy feature that enables you to easily search anywhere in the document for the entered text, while the Smart Query lets you search for matches on word boundaries only.
Multiple filter modes are available as well. Therefore you will be able to select to hide either matched or unmatched lines for an easier text view. If you prefer viewing the entire document, make sure the option Show All Lines is checked in Search menu.
