SuperPinger is an application designed to watch over multiple hosts and report back in case of any change in status, using the well known Ping command. The utility is able to differentiate between various states and notify users accordingly.
What makes SuperPinger particularly appealing is the ability to monitor in parallel even thousands of hosts with the maximum of efficiency. Using a comprehensive and intuitive graphical interface also adds to the appeal making SuperPinger quite a convenient time / resource saving tool.
SuperPinger allows the input of both host name and IP addresses into its monitoring list. For both types of resources, you can enter a specific name, description, interval and timeout in milliseconds. For IP addresses users can add as many as 65536 continuous IPs at a time. SuperPinger can be setup to automatically resolve IP to host names, display notifications whenever the server is up or down.
Ping results are provided in real time with a wide range of values made available including ping state, TTL, delay (min, max, average, current), all send requests, all send reply and their respective loss rate. Also you can quickly view the resource's icon color to automatically detect its state (green - all functioning within normal parameters, yellow - a ping detection doesn't receive normal response in standard time, red-yellow - multiple ping detections do not receive normal responses in standard time, red - continuous pings fail to respond back, server being offline).
Notifications are present in a choice of mail (you need to specify mail details, mail body template), running an application (allows macros), playing a sound file.
SuperPinger is quite light and will take a minimum of system resources; it is compatible with all Windows versions and is fully functional for a testing period of 30 launches.
