Along the yeas pool has grown in popularity and players and if you are a keen player and looking to learn the fine subtleties of the game, here is an application that you will surely enjoy.
StrokeAnalyzer is an application created to help pool players develop a better stroke. While normally you would employs the services of a teacher (a rather costly solution), this utility provides the same if not better results by video capturing your gameplay.
StrokeAnalyzer will display a visual replay of your movements and any flaw in your current stroke with the help of markers. The application is simple to use, flexible and most effective.
In order to capture your movements there is no need for an expensive video camera or any frame grabber hardware. StrokeAnalyzer works equally well with a standard USB webcam or video camera. Along with video content, you can also capture audio and create annotations.
Before going ahead with the capture, there are videos on the product's webpage that will help you get started with the setup process.
StrokeAnalyzer includes video playback with special markup tools for viewing and analyzing any flaw in your stroke. You can do so with a choice of multiple marker tools: 3 line types, freehand, rectangle, ellipse, text and angle measurement. By simply referencing to different components part of your stroke you can effectively identify imperfections and flaws holding you back.
As for playback, frame by frame analysis is available as well as all basic playback components: play, pause, rewind. You can step forward or reverse through the video using buttons or manual slider control. Zoom and Pan controls are in place to provide close up viewing.
You can save the playback for later analysis in both AVI and WMV video formats. Save the output as an image complete with markers.
StrokeAnalyzer will also display your breaking speed.
The application features an intuitive and simple to use interface that allows you to focus more on your gameplay rather than working it out.
