Windows XP allows you to output the sound to more than one audio device, but Windows Vista and Windows 7 do not. To overcome this issue, you may download and try the handy SSD � Set Sound Device freeware tool.

SSD � Set Sound Device allows you to easily change the default Sound Device for Windows 7 (works maybe for Vista too, but this is untested) via the commandline. To call SSD from the commandline, the syntax is �SSD.exe #� (where # is the number of the Sound Device to select from the list, �Select Default� dropdown box must be enabled to make device selectable).

SSD � Set Sound Device is simple, small and free.
