snippets is a Windows application designed to integrate note taking into your workflow without having to lose the focus of your priorities. While doing this, the application employs the services of one of the most underrated keys, the Caps Lock.
snippets lies unobstrusively in the system tray and provides quite a few more surprises designed to improve your productivity: searching, executing and looking up information stored in your clipboard within popular online resources such as Google, Wikipedia, Amazon, Bing and more.
How does it do it ? Well, simple enough, just press the Caps Lock key whenever you want to note something down and a screen will appear with a relaxing level of transparency; start writing and when finished press again the Caps Lock button. That's all there is to it.
Notes are save automatically as you leave the snippets screen. You can also edit and view them at any point in time. If you want to write multiple notes in succession, Page Up and Page Down keys will help you do just that. In similar fashion, Ctrl + Del combination will delete entries.
For a good overview of your notes snippets allows you the ability to export in the HTML format. Searching is supported via the Ctrl + F keys. snippets is quite hotkey driven and you will find that many more features of the program can be accessed with the help of easy to remember keyboard combinations.
