That works perfectly fine up until you get caught by your boss, but luckily there are also methods to conceal your monitor activity whenever the need arises and here is a well implemented solution with a smart functionality SmokeScreen.
SmokeScreen is a powerful, simple touse application created for those who need an extra hand in concealing their desktop activity. When it comes to boss key software, it is imperative that triggering the concealment be as quick as possible (through the use of hotkeys or mouse gestures / actions) and of course that the method be most effective.
When triggered, SmokeScreen will automatically cover your desktop with a previously captured image of when you were actually working. This illusion is as perfect as you can make it to be so make sure that you take a realistic and credible screenshot. You can do that from within SmokeScreen in a choice of size and quality (256 Colors or True Color).
While hotkeys may take a bit of reflex and precision to press, the mouse alternative is definitely the most effective solution.
The activation of the screenshot overlay comes in a choice of either moving the mouse cursor to a pre-defined area of the screen (left, top, top-left, bottom-left, right, bottom, top-right, bottom-right edges), rolling the mouse wheel, clicking the middle or both left and right mouse buttons. It can even mute your computer's sound.
Note that the program itself may run hidden from your boss' eyes; it can be setup to stay well hidden from the system tray, run at Windows startup and already as enabled.
For users looking for a little more control a password is also in place for closing the screen capture or whenever the options are changed.
