We find ourselves with a constant concern about the security of our files; even with firewalls, anti-virus applications installed your data may be retrieved. What can you do ? While acknowledging that files may be stolen, you can however restrict access with the help of encryption software. This means that even if unauthorized people can get your files, they will not be able to open them. In steps Secure USB to provide just that.

What is Secure USB ?

Secure USB is a lightweight (takes a little over 100 KB), simple to use application with a powerful functionality: it encrypts files and folders placed either on your local disks or on USB flash drives to effectively limit accessibility.

Secure USB is quite straightforward to use thanks to its graphical interface; it divides its functionality within encrypt and decrypt tasks for both single files and directories.

The encryption itself is virtually unbreakable. The 256-bit AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) implementation means that your data is secure and only through the specified password you may gain access to the encrypted data.

Upon encryption, Secure USB changes the extension of the file to *.enc and that is all that any unauthorized party is going to see.

Secure USB is portable; no installation is required, simply extract the contents of the archive and run the application.

Note that in order to encrypt files larger than 100 MB, registration is required.

Secure USB is compatible with most Windows releases including Xp, Vista and 7.
