Screen2Avi comes in two versions: installable and portable. They both are capable of producing excellent quality captured screencasts and screenshots with basically no effort at all.
Screen2Avi has a very user-friendly interface that enables every user to use it without problems and without needing any prior experience. You can set the resolution of your screenshots, or the frame rate and compression formats of your recordings and chose the position of the screenshot/screencast border.
On top of it all this amazing software is free.
