If you have some time to kill and you want to have fun, you should definitely try RatFink. This captivating card game will require a bit of strategy and a drop of luck, but you will enjoy every minute of it.

Whist is a trick tacking card game that was invented in England somewhere around the 17th century. The beautiful thing about it is the fact that although its rules are very simple, the strategical thinking that it implies is rather complex. RatFink is a computer card games based on the classical game of Whist.
RatFink is a fun game where your objective is to make exactly the amount of tricks that you bid in the beginning. It's not as much about actually tacking tricks, but about correctly assessing your hand.
The rules of RatFink are not very complicated. You play a series of games against 3 computer opponents and at the beginning of each round you bid on how many tricks you will win. If you are right you will get ten points for each trick that you make. The first game starts with only one card for each player, and with each round you will add one more card until you reach thirteen. The highest card in the suit that was originally played wins the trick unless it is trumped, in which case the highest trump wins.
RatFink has a very intuitive interface which makes it very easy to use. All you have to do is to click on the card that you want to play. The scoreboard is in the upper left side, your bidding box is in the lower side, while the cards that are played are in the center of the window.
Another great thing about RatFink is the fact that it is very convenient. Besides allowing you to select the game speed so that you won't get bored waiting for the computer to play a card, the game also comes with speech sounds which tell you how many tricks were bid and the cards that are played.
Summing up, RatFink is an entertaining and captivating trick tacking card game that is very similar to the classical game of Whist.
