From its early development in the 90's up to the present date, RAR has become one of the most popular and well known extensions associated with file compression / archiving. Rar files however can only be created with WinRar, an application that both packs and unpacks Rar archives but does come at a cost. If your needs only require quick extraction from Rar archives, here is a more convenient solution - RarZilla Free Unrar.
RarZilla Free Unrar provides users with an fast and convenient alternative to decompressing Rar archives. The application runs fast, is extremely simple to use and as its name clearly states - free of charge.
To unrar a file, users get a choice of methods: either drag and drop the compressed file onto the application's interface, use the right click context menu or simply double-click the Rar archive.
From the program Options panel you can input a password to open encrypted files or use one of the passwords from within a given file. Setup the default output folder, create a new sub-folder for each archive and show the output directory as soon as extraction ends.
The application's interface is available in a wide selection of languages. RarZilla Free Unrar has been tested and successfully runs on Windows Xp, Vista and 7 for both 32 and 64 versions.
