Port Groper is a Java-based cross-platform DoS network testing application provided for free.
Port Groper is a simple, lightweight, open source, platform-independent denial of service (DOS) tool created in Java.
Port Groper comes with a simple to understand interface which is also pretty intuitive and self-explanatory. All you have to do is find and import a text list of proxies, and the rest is pretty simple.
It works by using proxies as bots, therefore you will not need a botnet to DDoS.
Other important characteristics of this neat tool is the fact that it is multi-threaded (100% responsive GUI), built according to Swings event model. The interface will not lock-up, even when running.
Typical Port Groper Usage:
1. Can be used to benchmark firewalls for IP banning of DoS attacks to a specific port.
2. Can be used to distort website tracking information (such as Google Analytics).
3. Can be used to distort web-page hits (or hits per day).
4. Can bring down single (non clustered, or poorly clustered) servers.
Port Groper can spam/flood a website to increase hits and/or distort tracking information, is able to deny service on servers without being distributed, it also lets you choose which user-agent the connections are coming from and it allows you to configure the connection timeout settings.
There are also some intuitive configuration and connection statistics.
To sum it all up, Port Groper is a handy tool for anyone interested in DoS attacks and DoS testing.
