Playing Merv Griffin's Crosswords is very easy. Just install the game (it only takes a few seconds), select or create a profile and let the fun begin. You will be shown the way your crossword puzzle looks like and then given the definition for the first word. You have 10 seconds to press space (buzz in), another 10 to start typing and 30 seconds to insert the whole word. There is also a hint button that will automatically give you a letter from your word but that also costs a few bucks.
Merv Griffin's Crosswords will start in a random area of the crossword puzzle and as long as you answer correctly you will remain in that spot, thus having the advantage of already having a few letters in the word you need to guess. There are also some wildcards like the Crossword Getaway or the Crossword Extra which will serve to make the game a bit more interesting.
