LAN Speed Test will accurately measure the LAN speeds by writing a file (you can choose the size) to a folder (which you may again choose), clears windows file cache (otherwise read times would be skewed with results way too high), reads the file back, clears the cache again, deletes the file, and displays the results.
LAN Speed Test is a handy portable Windows application that works with Windows and does not need to be installed: just download and run. No installation needed, no dll's and leaves nothing in your windows registry.
