P2P (peer to peer) file sharing allows users / peers to exchange information of any form and type (music, documents, movies) with the help of a file sharing client. This comes in contrast with the old client server model where only the servers send and clients consume. In such a system, all peers retain equal rights and privileges behaving as both client and server at the same time. P2P's popularity has increased due to an overall better Internet service, digitization of media files, enhanced storage devices.

What is iKiwi and how to use it ?

iKiwi is an application that facilitates file sharing by using the new protocol called Nova. Nova is a pure P2P protocol and the network it creates is a decentralized one; this means that it's stable and very hard to shut down.

If you have ever used a P2P client, then you will find that installing and configuring iKiwi is a walk in the park. Note that as soon as you run it, iKiwi will try to use the 500 port number; you can change it to one according to your needs from the Tools panel or alternatively from the config.xml file. Select a folder who's contents you would like to share with other users. From here on end simply search, download and enjoy!

iKiwi features a simple, beautifully designed interface focus on providing a quick solution for sharing and downloading content rather than useless features.

The application requires you to have .Net 4.0 installed on your Windows machine. iKiwi is being developed as an open source application and thus is Free to use !
