You can now create brilliant looking animations in just a matter of minutes and best thing about it is that it requires no prior scripting language knowledge. Post them online, share with your family and friends.
Animations produced with Hippo Animator are designed to work on any web browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari, iPhones, smart phones, you name it. Contrary to flash animations, the output is small, scalable, it does support transparency and rotation.
For an application of its size, Hippo Animator is surprisingly flexible. It employs a comprehensive and intuitive graphical user interface that provides access to all of its features straight on the toolbar.
Hippo Animator is divided among panels to display the timeline controls, the library for the objects used in the project, object properties and taking up most of the interface, the editor. All panels are resizable according to user needs.
The timeline of your animation is present at the top and displays the segments of your movie and where in time they are positioned at. Frames can be created at different time intervals. Keep your timeline organized with the help of layers.
The library panel is on the top right and is the place where all of your images and objects will be present. Use the right click context menu to add it to the layer or duplicate any of the sprites present here.
From the properties editor you can customize multiple aspects of the object depending on its type: font, color, border, fill type and much more.
The editor displays the animation at a pre-defined moment in time. You can select any of the added objects, move across the screen, rotate and resize them.
Once you finish your work you can export the results; this can be done in a choice of three formats: HTML, GIF, PNG.
Hippo Animator also has a built-in player so you can check your progress constantly. Sprites available include text, lines, boxes, circles, triangles, buttons. Zoom in and out of your project at any time straight from the toolbar.
