Hash codes have become very popular and chances are you have encountered them quite often while trying to download some data from the Internet. Why is that ? Hash codes generate a unique identifier in the form of a string to any given piece of data. In order to detect the intrusion of a third party software that may temper with files, simply compare the hash code provided by the website you download from with the one you have just downloaded. And this is where Hash Tool steps in.
Hash Tool implements four of the most popular algorithms in order to help you obtain their respective hash values. This way you can always detect if a file has been subject to a third party change after you download it. What's more, this works equally well for your own disk files: whether it's sensitive documents, audio, video data, regardless of contents or type Hash Tool is just as effective.
It is able to calculate hash codes using the MD5, CRC32, SHA1 and SHA256 algorithms.
The application requires no installation; simply extract the contents of the archive and run the executable. You can carry it around on a USB flash drive.
