Tired of the everlasting and never changing Windows Explorer ? With more and more versions of Windows, it seams like this is one of the only things that will pretty much always look the same regardless of users needs. If you enjoy applications dual panel applications like Norton Commander you should give this one a try too.

What is FileOrganiser ?

FileOrganiser is an application that aims at replacing Windows Explorer for older Windows versions. It uses a familiar, dual panel interface with intuitive usability and access to performing file and folder actions, locating your favorite disk locations.

FileOrganiser includes multiple cool features and here are some of them.

The application includes a powerful Search function and allows results to be saved into a pre-defined file. You can set it up to detect camera and USB sticks; can also detect the exact folder location of your photos.

The speed of the transfer is evaluated once you transfer data. With the info button you can find out exactly what takes up most of your disk space.

Data renaming becomes a flexible task by extending features. Save the structure tree of a certain file or folder to a text file for later printing.

Backup your links into a HTML document which you can later upload to your website. Run your favorite program from within FileOrganiser.

The application includes plenty more features, is available as an open source too and thus Free, reason enough to give it a try!
