We all know how fun Karaoke can be. The handy Cali Karaoke software is a version of a MIDI Karaoke DVD player that will help you transform you own computer into a karaoke system.
This fun utility offers a very intuitive interface that will pose no problem even to the most inexperienced users. To be as easy to use as possible, Cali Karaoke offers access to the commands either by mouse or keyboard. The interface isn't very crowded and is especially useful for those already accustomed to use the DVD player, because this program was designed to mimic a real Karaoke machine.
You can replace the original background of the program with images from your own folders. This small application allows you to customize its interface using pictures of the most common file formats, such as: JPG, BMP, PNG and more. You can also set the time between images, if you want to create a special slideshow in accordance with the music.
The software can play all the songs from the "California MIDI Karaoke" DVD with the appropriate text for each melody. To help better visualize the lyrics you can easily change their color in contrast with the background, which can make them easier to be read. If you don't have the DVD, fear not, as the entertaining Cali Karaoke software provides a few songs by default, so you can have fun anyway.
The built-in audio player offers all the expected functions expected from a simple media player, basic functions such as: Play, Pause, Skip, etc. Because of the fact that Cali Karaoke is not just a common audio player, but a karaoke software, it also provides some special additional functions for playback control such as: change volume, key (pitch) and tempo (speed). You can also practice or learn a song in an easier way, taking advantage of the forward or rewind by 2 measures function.
It offers some very handy functions for managing the playlists, like queue songs to playback or create a favorite list. You can also easily print or export song lists so you may know at all times for what song you or your friends have to prepare for.
Moreover, this application is freeware.
