With that in mind, developers have created ABC Kid Genius.
ABC Kid Genius is a free application that gives kids a nice kick start into their long educational process by providing an interactive environment for learning basic numbers and acquaint themselves with the letters of the alphabet.
The utility is designed for children of all ages and has an intuitive and simple to use graphical interface. ABC Kid Genius deals with multiple types of lessons such as alphabet, numbers, counting, words and spelling using both visual and audio recognition methods.
ABC Kid Genius can be used either with the help of the mouse or keyboard; press highlighted letters to go from menu to menu. Click option buttons or press option keys on each screen as required.
For lessons involving letters and words you can see and hear keyboard buttons being pressed. For flash words you can see the text and hear the sound, associate an image to a word. Spelling training will display the picture and sounds of the word that needs typing. If the spelling is correct, a video is played. You can add even more words, names, pictures, audio and video content to the program yourself.
ABC Kid Genius runs in 1024 x 768 or higher resolutions in order to keep your toddler completely focused on just one aspect of the screen.
System requirements for ABC Kid Genius are quite low and is compatible with most Windows systems; the application itself takes a minimum of resources and leaves a small memory footprint.
